The Junior Technician syllabus was developed to introduce students to the material on the Adult Technician syllabus. It is split into 4 sections – Applications, Groundwork, Multiple Assailants and Bridging. Each of these is then split into 4 parts and students attempt each one consecutively. It therefore takes 4 years to complete the Junior Technician grades.
Once students turn 18, they are then able to attend the Adult classes and will slot into the Adult Technician grades at the appropriate level.
Some Junior Technician students complete the Junior Technician syllabus before they turn 18 and in this instance, they move onto the Adult Technician grades but still train in the Junior Technician classes until they are 18.
